In collaboration with SHOGADO, Japanese stationery / Established 1964. Founded in Kyoto as a wholesaler of shikishi tanzaku and Japanese books.

Utilizing the manufacturing techniques of a wide range of washi products, the company develops Japanese culture and miscellaneous goods (zakka).

The main material, washi paper, is sourced from washi-producing areas in Japan, including Echizen (Fukui Prefecture), and all manufacturing is done domestically, mostly taking place in Kyoto.

The SHINMONZEN original notebook is a special edition with a cover made of black dyed washi paper and the inside pages made of the same washi paper as goshuincho (stamp notebooks).
